Wicomico County Public Schools is committed to the well-being of our employees. We believe that a healthy employee free of excessive worries and life stressors is a productive and happy employee. To support this belief, we have partnered with BHS to create a robust and exciting employee assistance program (EAP). 

Everyone experiences occasional difficulties. WCPS’ EAP services are a free company-sponsored benefit that provides you AND your household members with an easily accessible, safe and highly confidential means to help with personal or professional problems that may interfere with work or family responsibilities. You and your household members can receive up to 6 counseling sessions (which include assessment, follow-up and referral services) per person, per problem episode, per year.

 Accessing services is confidential, safe and easy. Contact BHS by calling 800-327-2251 and you will be immediately connected to a BHS Care Coordinator, a master’s level clinician, ready to assist you. The Care Coordinator will listen to you, assist with any emergencies, assess the problem and connect you to the appropriate resources. The Care Coordinator then becomes your personal point of contact and will keep in touch to ensure you are satisfied with all services provided.

 Additional EAP benefits include:

• Short-term face-to-face or telephonic counseling services

• Access to a panel of EAP professionals nationwide

• 24/7, 365 day a year access to EAP services

• Financial issues such as college funding, debt management, etc.

• Legal concerns such as guardianship, custody and support, estate planning, real estate, etc.

• Assistance finding childcare or eldercare services
