Wicomico County Public Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Automotive Repair and Collision Repair programs at Parkside High School received a generous donation of tools valued at $12,000 from NAPA Auto Parts on Thursday afternoon.
This contribution will provide students in the Automotive Technology and Collision Repair programs with industry-standard tools, enhancing their hands-on learning experience and preparing them for successful careers in the automotive field immediately after graduation.
“We are thrilled to partner with NAPA Auto Parts to give our students access to the tools they need to develop real-world skills,” said Bryan Ashby, CTE Supervisor. “This donation will make a lasting impact on their education and future employment opportunities.”
The presentation was attended by key program leaders, in addition to Mr. Ashby, were CTE Coordinator William Witte, Automotive Technology teacher Shawn Taylor, and Collision Repair teacher Nathan Hooper, alongside NAPA Manager Janet Rollins.
"Investing in these students means investing in the future of our local workforce," said Janet Rollins, NAPA Auto Parts Manager. "We’re proud to support Wicomico County's CTE programs and help ensure these talented young people have the tools they need to succeed."
The CTE programs at Parkside continue to focus on equipping students with practical skills and certifications that meet industry standards, ensuring graduates are workforce-ready.
