On Thursday, November 21, Wicomico County Public Schools held two Public Information Sessions regarding the current School Boundary Study and the two draft options for boundary changes.
There is now an ONLINE SURVEY open through Dec. 9 to gather feedback on the two draft options for the school boundary changes. Just scan the QR code in either English, Spanish or Haitian Creole to participate in this survey. We want to hear from you.

📝 Marking Term 1 Grades
Marking Term 1 grades are now available online for students and families. Paper copies can also be picked up in the main office. Be sure to review your grades and reach out to your teachers if you have any questions!
📅 Attendance Recovery – Deadline: Thursday, November 21
If you need to recover attendance for Term 1, be sure to complete it by Thursday, November 21. Contact the school or speak with your teacher for more details.
💼 Career Fair – Wednesday, November 20
Join us for our first Career Fair this Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the school! Students will have the chance to meet with local businesses and explore employment opportunities. Don’t miss it! For more info, contact Mrs. Wiltbank, our school counselor.
🎓 Senior Name Verification – Due Friday, November 22
Seniors, your Senior Name Verification forms are due this Friday, Nov. 22. This is an important step in the graduation process, so please be sure to submit it on time. Also, don’t forget to order your cap and gown by December 13 if you’re graduating in February 2025.
📅 Looking Ahead: State Assessments in December
Students in Algebra 1, Government, Biology, and English 11 will be taking their State Assessments in December. Be sure to prepare! Your teachers will provide additional details soon.
🍂 Thanksgiving Break – No Evening Classes, Nov. 24-29
There will be no Evening High School classes the week of November 24–29 for Thanksgiving break. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2.

The first Superintendent's Open Door Session of the school year will take place Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the school system's main office on Northgate Drive. Chat time with the superintendent is first come, first served from 4-6 pm.
Reminder: Thursday, Oct. 17 is an early dismissal day, with students dismissed three hours early. Schools are closed Friday, Oct. 18 for the Maryland State Education Association Convention.
On Oct. 4, the 2024-2025 Wicomico Teacher of the Year, Debbie Reynolds (Wicomico Middle), joined the other 23 local teachers of the year from across the state at the Maryland Teacher of the Year Gala in Hunt Valley. Wicomico Schools had a fantastic time celebrating and supporting its top teacher, who in addition to teaching at Wicomico Middle is a graduate of James M. Bennett High and a former student of Bennett Middle, Prince Street Elementary, and Pittsville Elementary and Miiddle.. Thank you Ms. Reynolds for being such a fantastic representative of Wicomico County Public Schools, where our students are Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow.
Ms. Reynolds will continue to serve as Wicomico Teacher of the Year into April, when the 2025-2026 Wicomico Teacher of the Year is announced. That outstanding teacher is teaching in one of our schools right now, and your chance to nominate a deserving teacher for recognition is coming soon, starting Nov. 1.
