As a Community School, JMB is dedicated to supporting students beyond the classroom by addressing barriers to learning. We are proud to be the first school in Wicomico County to collaborate with Project Hygiene, ensuring students have access to essential hygiene products and wellness resources. Project Hygiene is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged youth ages 10 to 18.
Through quarterly donations of items like shampoo, deodorant, soap, lotion, and toothbrushes, this initiative helps ease financial strain and promotes student confidence . Additionally, two annual workshops led by Project Hygiene will focus on bullying prevention and overall well-being, reinforcing our efforts to create a safe and supportive school environment, where every student can thrive both academically and personally.
Want to support the cause? Donations are welcomed! Please visit Project Hygiene's website for more information!
Students who need toiletries can contact Candace Nutter, Community School Coordinator in room B117.

On April 12th, James M. Bennett High School was proud to spread some Easter cheer!
Thanks to the generous donation from Mountaire Farms, our staff—Mr. Fenoglietto, Ms. Foltz, Mr. Wright—and our Community School Coordinator, Ms. Nutter, teamed up with student volunteers to distribute over 60 Easter boxes to local families. We’re incredibly proud of our students and staff for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to making a difference right here at home.
If you're interested in learning how you can make a difference in your community, please reach out to Ms. Nutter at cnutter@mywwcps.org.
