Elementary letter days for November 6 to 10
Good evening West Salisbury families this is your child’s principal Mr. Binns. I have three very short messages. First, The school nurse has started hearing and vision screenings. All students in grades PK, K, and 1st will be screened for hearing and vision. If your child comes home with a referral letter, it suggests that your student should be evaluated by an eye doctor. This is a free exam mandated by the state and you do not need to do anything for your child to be screened. Please take the screening seriously. Second, parents and staff, we are selling West Salisbury Gear for our students. Your child can have the same orange t-shirt that our staff wears when we represent West Salisbury. Please complete your t-shirt order form, make sure you have the name on the form along with the money and how many shirts, long sleeve or hoodies you want. We need a total of at least 36 orders to meet our goal. I am getting 3 shirts. I am getting a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, and a hoodie, don’t miss out get your order in today. The last day to turn your order in is Wednesday, November 15th . Finally, parents attendance is important, in an attempt to improve our attendance we are asking that you please have your child to school every day and on time, if they are absent please write a note and or bring the doctor’s note so they can be excused. Your child’s education is important. Thank you so much and have a great evening. Tigers let me hear you roar. ROAR!!!

Attendance Matters! Regular attendance is crucial for your child's education. Even being just 5 minutes late every day results in missing 3.4 days of instruction. If the lateness extends to 15 minutes daily, it amounts to missing 10.3 days. A delay of 30 minutes daily leads to a staggering 20.7 days of missed instruction. Consider this: if your child misses 2 school days a month, they miss 20 days a year. That translates to a loss of 30 hours of math instruction and 60 hours of reading and writing instruction. Every absence and tardiness adds up, impacting your child's learning. We emphasize this because your child's education is invaluable. Our tiger cubs deserve the best, and that starts with consistent attendance. Your efforts to ensure they attend school on time are deeply appreciated. Together, let's provide them with the outstanding education they deserve. Thank you for your commitment to our students' success.

Good afternoon West Salisbury families, this is your child’s principal Mr. Binns. We want to wish you a happy Sunday and hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Here are a few announcements for this week. We want to thank Ms. Nutter and her team for an amazing Fall Family Festival event on Friday. Thank you to all of our families that came out to attend. What an amazing turn out. On Tuesday, our first grade parents are invited to attend an ELA Parent Workshop with Mrs. Gilmore and Mrs. Schissler right here at West Salisbury Elementary from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. on Friday we will have our first PBIS incentive. Finally, in an attempt to encourage good attendance and being on time we want to give our parents encouragement to please make every effort to have your child on time and to be in school. Attendance matters. When your child is 5 minutes late per day they miss 3.4 days of instruction, when they are 15 minutes late per day they miss 10.3 days of instruction, if your child comes to school 30 minutes per day they miss 20.7 days of instruction. Attendance matters, when your child misses 2 days of school per month they miss 20 days a year which is 30 hours of math instruction and 60 hours of reading and writing instruction. The point we are trying to make is that absences and latenesses add up. Your child’s education matters because our tiger cubs are worth it. Please do everything you can to have them to school and on time. We love our tiger cubs and want them to receive an amazing education. Well that is it for now. We are the tiger nation. Tigers let me hear you roar. ROAR!!! Men kèk anons pou semèn sa a. Nou vle remèsye Madam Nutter ak ekip li a pou yon evènman etonan Festival Fanmi Otòn nan Vandredi. Ala yon etonan vire soti. Madi, paran premye ane nou yo envite pou yo ale nan yon Atelye Paran ELA ak Madam Gilmore ak Madam Schissler isit la nan West Salisbury Elementary soti 9 a.m. -10 a.m. Vandredi n ap gen premye ankourajman PBIS nou an. Finalman, nan yon tantativ ankouraje bon prezans ak alè, nou vle bay paran nou ankourajman pou tanpri fè tout efò pou fè pitit ou a alè epi pou yo ale lekòl. Prezans enpòtan. Lè pitit ou a 5 minit an reta pa jou li rate 3.4 jou ansèyman, lè li 15 minit an reta pa jou li manke 10.3 jou ansèyman, si pitit ou a vin lekòl 30 minit pa jou li manke 20.7 jou ansèyman. Prezans enpòtan, Lè pitit ou a rate 2 jou lekòl pa mwa, li manke 20 jou pa ane ki se 30 èdtan ansèyman matematik ak 60 èdtan ansèyman lekti ak ekriti. Pwen an nou ap eseye fè se ke absans ak reta ajoute. ¡¡¡RUGIDO!!!
