Attached you will find images featuring this week's letter days and the PK-5 Lunch, PK-5 Breakfast, and Snack Menu for February and March. Good Sunday Evening, West Salisbury Tiger Families! This is Mrs. Harrington, your Dean of Students, and I'm delighted to bring you some roaring updates from West Salisbury Elementary. First on our list is attendance. Please remember attendance is crucial for your child's education. Every absence and tardiness adds up, impacting your child's learning. We emphasize this because your child's education is invaluable. Our Tiger Cubs deserve the best, and that starts with consistent attendance. Your efforts to ensure they attend school on time each day by 8:45 are deeply appreciated. Parents please remember in order to change your child’s transportation at dismissal you must send in a note to the office (email, written note, or come in an write a note) and it must be turned in by 2:00 p.m. to Ms. Morton, Mrs. Boggs, or Mrs. Chandler so that they can make the adjustment for that child to change their transportation. If not the child will go home by the normal mode of transportation. This is for the safety of the child. As we gear up for another exciting week, make sure to get a good night's sleep tonight. We can't wait for the learning, laughter, and memorable moments that await us at West Salisbury Elementary. Tigers, let me hear you roar – ROAR!!

January 29th Professional Day announcement
Good evening West Salisbury families, this is your child’s principal Mr. Binns. I hope you are enjoying your championship Sunday and that your football team is winning. We have just a few announcements for you today. Monday, January 29th there will be no school for students. Parents enjoy the extra day off and we look forward to seeing our tiger cubs on Tuesday. This Tuesday, January 30 is the start of the second semester and our third marking period. This parents, means that we will be in the last half of the school year so we continue to encourage all parents to please make an extra effort to ensure that your child is to school on time and that they are there every day. Attendance is important, and if your child misses more than 5 days of unexcused absences in a marking period your child will receive an Attendance Intervention Plan, so to avoid this, please make sure that your child is here on time. All grades will go live on Friday, February 2, 2024 and you will be able to see your child’s grades. This past Friday we had our PBIS incentive for students that have not received an office or X2 referrals, it was a blast to see our students rewarded for positive behavior. We want to continue to encourage our students as we finish up iReady, MAP and MCAP testing. Our students have been tigerific, keep up the great work tigers. Parents, we would like to remind our parents that for the safety of all of our students we have a specific dismissal system. If you are picking up your child from the car line or for early dismissal parents are not permitted to leave the office area. We would like to remind our parents that you must, I repeat you must remain in the office area until your child is brought to the office by one of our staff members. We have 400 students to dismiss and to ensure their safety no one other than staff should be in our hallways during dismissal. Parents are not allowed to signal to their child to come or leave the front office or even open the door to call out to their child. Please allow our staff to fulfill their dismissal duties and help to keep all of our students safe. We would like to thank you in advance for complying with this request. Finally, we want to thank our parents for making the adjustment of parking when you are walking your child into the building for arrival and pickup. It has made a tremendous difference when you park in the parking bay and cars are not being blocked off by parents stopping in the middle of the parking lot. Thank you so much for complying to this request for the safety of our students, staff, and parents. Well, well that is it for now. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend, enjoy the food, family and friends and we hope your team wins to make it to the Super Bowl. We are the tiger nation, tigers let me hear you roar. ROAR!!!
