This week's Parkside Sports schedule. Let’s get out and support our RAMFAM student athletes!

Congratulations to our very own Olivia Folke, who performed this weekend with the West Virginia University Honors Band. Olivia started practice with the band on Thursday night, continued all day Friday, and a few hours on Saturday before the concert at 1:30. We are so proud of you Olivia! 💚🤍🐏🎼🐏🤍💚

This weekend Parkside is being represented by Jada Kellam and Harjot Gill at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in Ocean City, Maryland. RYLA is an intensive leadership training experience where they participate in skill development (goal setting, public speaking, conflict resolution, etc...), team challenges, and service projects. Jada and Harjot are both incredible members of the Parkside High Class of 2027 and we are so proud of them and glad they are representing us! We can’t wait to hear about the conference!

Happy Valentine's Day RAMFAM! WE LOVE YOU! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚

Reminder: Wicomico County Public Schools (schools and Central Office) will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16 for Presidents' Day.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY!!!

We won't see Deputy Jerome Jones on Sunday, February 15th for National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day so the RAMFAM made sure we celebrated him today! All of the students took time out of their day to thank Deputy Jones for keeping us safe and secure here at Parkside CTE. We also made sure he got his favorite lunch from Johnny's! Thank you to Deputy Jones and all of the WCPS school resource officers for keeping the students of Wicomico County Public Schools safe!

Fierce competition in Spanish 4 Jeopardy in Senora Cannon's class this morning!

Students learning about stress coping strategies in Mrs. Schoenfelder's Health Skills for Life class today.

Today the Parkside Kindness Club held their first official meeting! Joining us were CJ and Zion from the Salisbury University Kindness Club. We got to know each other, talked about what kindness means and values, discussed different types of projects that we could do, and had a team building exercise. It was an extremely productive meeting and we are so excited that we plan on meeting again in 2 weeks on February 26th. We know there are tons of RAMFAM who show kindness each and every day and it would be great if you could join us!

FAFSA Help Night is this afternoon! 4 till 6 in the media center. See you there!

Today we held 2 sessions where students learned about the process of participation in college athletics and how to set up an NCAA eligibility profile. Thank you Career Coach Reed for setting this up!

Excellent opportunity from our Parkside National English Honor Society.

Celebrating CTE Month!
We are Building Bridges and Making Connections with Wor-Wic Community College with presentations in Transportation, Manufacturing, and Construction career clusters.

RAMFAM, let's make a difference today! I believe in you all! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚

This is important information about a revision to the approved 2025-2026 school year calendar to make up a day lost to winter weather last month.
During the Board of Education meeting on Feb. 10, the school system announced a revision to the approved calendar to use one of the designated make-up days. Students of Wicomico County Public Schools will now have school on Monday, March 16th, with 3-hour early dismissal. March 16th is no longer a staff professional day.
The revised calendar is posted in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole on the Calendar page of the school system’s website. Please make sure to use this updated calendar -- with a date of Feb, 10, 2026 in the bottom right corner and March 16th shown as a school day with early dismissal -- as the school year continues.
