Some of our absolute best Parkside teachers were recently on a panel at the Salisbury University Teaching and Learning Conference. There were 38 SU faculty there in attendance for this session with our PHS teachers. Parkside is thrilled to have a great working relationship with Salisbury University! Thank you for doing this Chris Grande, Kristi Grande, Carol Gutberlet, and Jessica James! You all are RAMtastic!

Congratulations to Reagan White and Toryn Adams, who have passed their practical portion of State Board of Cosmetology! We are proud and happy for them! They both finished their required hours early and are now both on OJT (On the Job Training). Keep up the great work Reagan and Toryn!

The Parkside Counseling Department, Community Schools, and RAMFAM student volunteers deserve thanks for their efforts in making the Parkside CTE Food Distribution a success, with 60 food baskets distributed. We appreciate being a community school dedicated to improving the community for our children's sake.

The Wicomico County Board of Education will hold a public budget hearing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 in the Board Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury. All are invited to attend to give input for next year's school system budget.

Visit the Parkside College & Career Center on February 11th during 2nd period for a workshop on understanding how the college planning process is a critical step toward long-term career pathway success. This session helps students explore how academic performance, course selection, and career readiness directly influence college opportunities including participation in college athletics. Students will learn how eligibility requirements for first-time college athletes are reviewed and why meeting these standards is essential when aligning postsecondary academic goals with future career plans. Colleges with athletic programs rely heavily on eligibility decisions when determining student participation, early planning is key. Whether college athletics is part of your goal or one component of a broader career pathway, this session provides practical guidance to help you stay on track, make informed decisions, and build a strong foundation for academic, athletic, and career success. Students must bring their laptops.
RESERVE YOUR SEAT NOW IN SCHOOLINKS
This session will also cover:
• Creating your college NCAA eligibility profile
• Collegiate eligibility requirements and standards for athletics
