-Explore a wide range of CTE programs
-Watch student demonstrations and live SkillsUSA contests
-Engage with instructors and students
-Ask questions about course offerings, certifications, and career
pathways
In addition to the open house activities, students and staff will be available for interviews to discuss the impact of CTE programs and SkillsUSA on student learning, career preparation, and leadership development.
Wicomico County Public Schools looks forward to welcoming the community on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Parkside High School.

Today, for World Read Aloud Day 2026, Mr. Briggs visited Pittsville Elementary and Middle School so he could read to 8th graders who will be joining the RAMFAM next year. The 8th graders did a great job listening and then asking Mr. Briggs plenty of questions about Parkside CTE and what to expect next year. This 8th grade group was phenomenal and will be outstanding members of the Parkside High Class of 2030! Thanks to Mrs. Smith, Pittsville's great librarian for setting up the World Read Aloud Day! Mr. Briggs also stopped in to hear Mr. Dasher working with his 6th grade band students who will be joining Parkside in less than 3 years and will be the Parkside High Class of 2032! Thank you Pittsville Elementary and Middle School for being such a great school and host!

You've got this Toryn and Regan!

As Parkside CTE celebrates Black History Month, we recognize the achievements, culture, and impact of Black individuals throughout history. This month is a time to learn, reflect, and appreciate the importance of diversity and inclusion in our community.
At Parkside CTE, we believe every student and staff member should feel valued, respected, and supported. We encourage you to take part in discussions, activities, and learning opportunities that highlight the contributions of Black leaders, both past and present. Together, we can continue to build a school where all voices are heard and celebrated.

Congratulations to Toni Daniel, on being awarded the 2025 Anne Collins Teacher of the Year Award! Anne Collins was there to present the award to one of her former students!
The award was selected off their career summary that reflected the breadth and depth of the nominee’s educational and professional experience, including those within the school and the broader community.
In addition, it was based off evidence supporting the criteria including:
Instill in students a desire to learn and achieve.
Understand the individual needs of students, encourage their talents, and foster their self-esteem.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of subject matter and the ability to share it effectively with students.
Demonstrate exemplary teaching strategies that challenge students to reach their full potential.
Foster cooperative relationships with colleagues and the school community.
Demonstrate leadership.
Toni certainly meets all of these criteria and is an extremely deserving award winner!
