Yesterday, students in Mrs. Zanette/Mrs. Parker/Mr. Weiss' classes got to Zoom with John Lee Cronin, owner and founder of John's Crazy Socks. John and his father explained how John came up with this idea and then how he used his entrepreneurial skills to create this amazing business! It was inspiring to hear John's story, and we can't wait to see what ideas these classes come up with! See below for more information about John's Crazy Socks and then a link to their site if you want to buy their socks.
John's Crazy Socks is a father-son social enterprise inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks, or what he calls his "crazy socks." We're on a mission to spread happiness.
Every day, we show what's possible when you give a person with a differing ability a chance. Over half our employees have a differing ability.

Today, Parkside Career Counseling hosted an exciting First Responders & Armed Forces Career Day, giving students a hands-on experience to explore these vital professions. Students had the chance to learn about the critical roles that first responders and armed forces play in protecting our communities, while also networking with professionals and gaining valuable career advice.
A highlight of the event was a special presentation from the Maryland Army National Guard, featuring a live demonstration with a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter landing on campus. This unique opportunity allowed students to interact with aviation experts and get a close-up look at military aviation.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our First Responders and service members for their dedication to our community, and to the following representatives for making today’s event a success:
• Tidal Health
• Salisbury Fire Department
• Fruitland Police Department
• U.S. Marines
• U.S. Navy
• Maryland Army National Guard
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event unforgettable!
Thank you, Career Coach Reed, for setting this all up for the RAMFAM!
